Ideas of quintessential Britishness seem to be a recurring theme in menswear, and autumn 2009 makes no exception.
Comme des Garçons and Paul Smith remain faithful to tartan whilst a rather sombre 'John Steed Chic' look could be felt at Moschino, Alexander McQueen and John Varvatos where bowler hats and checked suits dominated.
