The Tudors

One of the most talked about television series on the BBC with it's notoriety for risqué scenes and fantastic performances from a star studded cast – The Tudors returns with a third series in May.
I recently purchased the box set of the first two series and it has me hooked. The costumes and décor are amazing and so intricately constructed, the precision on each garment is astounding, almost as astounding as the raunchy scenes that are littered throughout! Jonathan Rhys Meyer is fantastic as the spoiled young king, and it tells the early story of the infamous monarch that many of us do not know. As a young man Henry was very handsome and wildly fun, according to historians, and of course had a passion for beautiful women!

The dramatic final scenes with the ill-fated Anne Boleyn and the sinister twist in Henry's character in series two, have left audiences in anticipation for the new series, (which includes Joss Stone as Anne of Cleves!) It is little wonder that fans are desperate for the next series to hit our screens. I for one can't wait!
